Visual Arts @ Chilwell PS
The Visual Art program at Chilwell promotes a positive, supportive and creative environment for students to experience and explore the world of art.
It allows all students to explore their ideas, their observations and imagination to express themselves through artworks. Students can experiment with different materials, such as clay, modelling, painting, printmaking and textiles to make a range of art forms. Students work individually and in groups to create artworks and express ideas to present to audience as well as being engaged in range of community projects and initiatives, excursions and art communities outside of our school.
Chilwell offers lunchtime art sessions, Art Committee membership for senior students as well as whole school Art Shows. Students gain insight into the art of different times and cultures and they learn to respond and analyse different artworks, including artworks by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
