What is STEM?

S.T.E.M. is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. 

It is a learning approach that encompasses all four of these areas to encourage critical thinking, collaboration and innovation.

Why STEM?

With ever increasing technological advancements, jobs of the future are changing. There are jobs today that weren’t even imagined 10 years ago, and chances are that will continue into the future. STEM in Primary School seeks to provide students with not just technology skills, but important life-long learning skills, like problem solving and collaboration, that will assist them to adapt and evolve well into the future.

At Chilwell, our STEM program offers a hands-on learning environment that incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to encourage creativity, critical thinking, initiative, collaboration, problem solving and communication. 

We imagine, we think, we plan, we design, we explore, we solve and we create – and we have fun while we do it!
